Withdrawal, Correction, and Retraction

Withdrawal, Correction, and Retraction of Manuscript

Riau Jurnal Teknik Informatika (RJTI) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Post-publication concerns are handled in accordance with Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance and may result in a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction.

Manuscript Withdrawal

Authors are expected to submit manuscripts only after careful consideration and are strongly discouraged from withdrawing a manuscript after the review process has begun. An author who wishes to withdraw a manuscript must submit a formal written request to the Editor-in-Chief, stating the reason. A manuscript must not be submitted to another journal while it remains under consideration by RJTI. Once an article has been formally published, it can no longer be treated as a withdrawal and will be handled through the correction or retraction procedure.

Correction

When an error does not affect the overall findings or conclusions of an article, the journal may publish a correction that is linked to the original article.

Retraction

An article may be retracted when there is clear evidence of unreliable findings (for example, due to major error, fabrication, or falsification), plagiarism, redundant publication, unethical research, or a compromised peer-review process. A retraction notice will be published, will identify the retracted article and the reason for the retraction, and will be freely accessible. The original article normally remains available but is clearly marked as Retracted.

Expression of Concern

Where serious concerns are raised but the evidence is inconclusive or an investigation is ongoing, the journal may publish an expression of concern.
