Screening for Plagiarism

Screening for Plagiarism

Similarity Policy
Maximum similarity index: 25% • checked with Turnitin or iThenticate

Riau Jurnal Teknik Informatika (RJTI) is committed to academic integrity and the prevention of plagiarism. Every submitted manuscript is screened for similarity using Turnitin or iThenticate as part of the initial editorial screening, before it proceeds to peer review.

Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscript with similarity-detection software before submission and to ensure that all quotations and sources are properly cited.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage, the editor will notify the author and ask for appropriate revision and citation of the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive, that is, if at least 25% of the manuscript is found to be plagiarized, the article may be rejected and, where appropriate, the author's institution notified. Every author is required to complete a plagiarism-free statement and submit it together with the manuscript.
