Riau Jurnal Teknik Informatika (RJTI) applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the evaluation.
Every submitted manuscript first undergoes an initial editorial screening, in which the editor checks the manuscript's conformity with the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the template and author guidelines, and originality. At this stage the manuscript is also screened for similarity using Turnitin or iThenticate, with a maximum similarity index of 25%. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or declined before review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate each manuscript based on novelty, objectivity, methodology, scientific contribution, soundness of conclusions, and quality of references.
Authors who receive a revision decision are expected to revise the manuscript and respond to the reviewers' comments; revised manuscripts may be sent back to the reviewers when necessary. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision, taking into account the reviewers' reports and the editorial evaluation. The entire process is conducted through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
