Allegation of Research Misconduct

Allegation of Research Misconduct

Tepak Sirih: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Madani takes all allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously. Misconduct includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of activities, data, or outcomes, redundant or duplicate publication, improper authorship, citation manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and manipulation of the peer-review process.

Allegations are assessed according to the nature of the concern and the available evidence, following applicable Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance. The journal does not automatically treat an allegation as established misconduct; the authors or other relevant parties are given an appropriate opportunity to respond.

Where appropriate, the journal may contact authors, reviewers, institutions, or research-integrity officers as part of the assessment. Depending on the outcome, appropriate action may include rejection, correction, retraction, expression of concern, notification of the author's institution, or other measures necessary to protect the integrity of the record. All such matters are handled confidentially.

How to Report a Concern

Authors, reviewers, readers, and other parties may report a concern to the editorial office through the journal's contact page, using the subject line Research Integrity Concern. Where available, a report should include the article title or URL, a clear description of the concern and the affected material, and any supporting evidence. Anonymous reports are assessed when they contain sufficiently specific and verifiable information. Good-faith reporting is treated respectfully and confidentially. The complete ethical framework is set out in the journal's Publication Ethics policy.
