Community Service and Empowerment

Tepak Sirih: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Madani is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed open-access journal that disseminates how community service (pengabdian kepada masyarakat) is planned, implemented, and evaluated. It is published by LPPM, Universitas Pasir Pengaraian, and it welcomes work that begins from the real needs of a community or partner and applies knowledge, technology, and practical skills to address them.

The journal publishes accounts of community service that has actually been carried out. A manuscript should describe the community or partner setting, the problem addressed, the knowledge or technology applied, how the activity was conducted, and the outcomes that resulted. The journal values community participation, practical improvement, measurable benefit, and honest reflection on the limitations of the work.

Scope

The journal accepts community service work across the following areas:

  • Education: literacy, training, mentoring, and learning improvement in schools and communities.
  • Social development: community organization, social welfare, and civic participation.
  • Economics and MSMEs: micro, small, and medium enterprise development, entrepreneurship, and livelihoods.
  • Human resource development: skills training, capacity building, and professional development.
  • Health: public health promotion, community wellbeing, and preventive health activities.
  • Appropriate technology: practical technology designed and applied for community needs.

What the Journal Expects

Submissions must be original and clearly connected to community service that has been implemented. A product description, a seminar report, or an attendance record is not, by itself, sufficient. The manuscript must also explain the methods used and the outcomes achieved. Authors should consult the Manuscript Types and Author Guidelines pages before submitting.
