Author Guidelines
For authors
Prepare a clear, original, and review-ready manuscript.
Authors should review the journal's scope, submission checklist, and policies before uploading a manuscript through OJS.
Before submission
- Confirm that the manuscript fits the Focus and Scope.
- The work must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal, unless an explanation is provided to the editor.
- Prepare the submission file in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.
- Include URLs or persistent identifiers for references where available.
- Use a readable 12-point font and place tables, figures, and illustrations near the relevant discussion.
Manuscript preparation
The manuscript should present a clear title, abstract, keywords, introduction, relevant scholarship, method or analytical approach, findings or argument, discussion, conclusion, and complete references as appropriate to the study type.
Double-anonymous review
Remove author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and identifying file metadata from the review manuscript. Upload author information only in the OJS metadata and any separate file requested by the journal.
Tables, figures, and sources
Number and cite every table and figure in the text. Authors are responsible for legibility, accurate captions, source acknowledgement, and permissions for material they do not own.
Research and disclosure statements
Where relevant, provide ethical approval or consent information, funding, competing interests, author contributions, data availability, and disclosure of meaningful artificial intelligence use.
Template status
A journal-specific manuscript template and final reference-style guide have not yet been approved. Requirements from another journal should not be assumed to apply to JPSE.
